Lesley Carey

Lesley Carey is a distinguished figure in the luxury boutique hotel, resort, and spa industry, boasting over 30 years of hands-on experience both domestically and internationally. She holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English Literature from Queen's University in Ontario, Canada.

Lesley's career journey began in Toronto, Canada, where she held pivotal roles at prestigious establishments such as The Four Seasons, The Interstate, Wyndham Hotels, and Queens Landing, part of a renowned four-star hotel group in the Niagara-on-the-Lake complex. During this time, she gained comprehensive expertise in operations management, food & beverage, marketing, sales plan development, sales execution, construction, room renovation, budgeting, internal controls, and public relations.

Her career took a significant leap when she assumed the role of General Manager at the iconic Argyle Hotel, now known as Sunset Tower, located on the legendary Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles, California. Here, Lesley led the hotel through a comprehensive renovation and successful rebranding, showcasing her strategic vision and operational prowess.

Lesley's leadership and project management skills were further demonstrated in her roles overseeing the renovation and rebranding efforts at prominent properties including The Orlando Hotel in Los Angeles and The Lodge at Rancho Mirage (formerly Ritz-Carlton) in Palm Springs. Notably, she conceptualized the design and managed the project for SILQ, a distinguished hotel in Bangkok, Thailand.

With an entrepreneurial spirit, Lesley founded two successful Hotel Resort Management companies: The Palmer Hospitality Group and Cicero Hospitality Group. These ventures have enjoyed significant success both domestically and internationally, under Lesley's strategic guidance and leadership.

In addition to her remarkable career in hospitality management, Lesley has been the driving force behind multiple Biggest Loser Resort domestic destination-managed resorts and programs across the United States. Leveraging her passion for wellness and lifestyle transformation, she has collaborated on the development and promotion of a groundbreaking wellness retreat called Empowered in Paradise, scheduled for a global launch in June 2021.
